Save the Needy Tanzania Participates in the Kilimo Sauti Workshop in Dodoma.

Save the Needy Tanzania actively took part in a workshop introducing the Tanzania Youth Coalition (TYC) project, focusing on the sustainability of capacity-building initiatives. This workshop, held as a follow-up to the Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) conducted in September 2024, took place on Tuesday, February 25, and Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the Foundation for Civil Society Hall in Dodoma. The event brought together various stakeholders, including youth-led organizations, development partners, and policymakers, to discuss strategies for ensuring long-term impact in empowering young people.

One of the key highlights of the workshop was the presentation of the Kilimo Sauti Project, a transformative initiative funded by AGRA. The project is dedicated to enhancing youth participation in the agricultural sector, with a strong focus on policy influence, institutional engagement, and agribusiness capacity-building. By equipping young people with the necessary skills and resources, the initiative seeks to create a more inclusive and youth-driven agricultural landscape that fosters economic empowerment and sustainable development.

During the discussions, Save the Needy Tanzania contributed valuable insights on effective capacity-building models and ways to ensure that interventions continue beyond project cycles. The organization emphasized the importance of mentorship, policy advocacy, and access to resources for young entrepreneurs in agribusiness. Participants also explored potential collaborations to strengthen youth institutions and promote policies that enable their meaningful participation in agricultural development.

The workshop concluded with a call to action for continued stakeholder engagement and long-term strategies to sustain the impact of capacity-building efforts. Save the Needy Tanzania remains committed to working with partners like TYC and AGRA to support youth-driven initiatives that transform the agricultural sector and empower young entrepreneurs.
